Winter camping can be overwhelming when you figure in all the prep and items needed to make it happen. However, for those die-hard camping fans who don't mind the cold, it can be the perfect time to visit some beautiful places across the United States. Take a look at these five destinations for you to visit this winter!

1. Hot Springs National Park KOA in Arkansas

Home to 47 natural hot springs, this is the perfect place to warm up this winter! With an array of activities, not to mention the numerous bath houses that draw water from the natural springs, this is the perfect winter camping destination! There are a few campground options, including the Hot Springs National Park KOA.

2. Tiger Run Resort: Chalets and RV Park in Colorado

If you love skiing than this is the place for you! Tiger Run Resorts markets itself as a luxury RV resort and it does not disappoint with heated water lines and plowed sites! The amenities also include hot tubs, laundry and shower facilities, game room, fitness center, and pool! If you are looking to find a good spot in the Rocky Mountain or take your pick from four ski areas, than this is the winter camping destination for you!

3. Mammoth Campground in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Many experienced campers all say the same thing, the best time to visit Yellowstone is when its covered in pristine white snow. While this may be for more adventurous campers, there is plenty of activities to do such as skiing, sight-seeing, or shopping in the West Yellowstone, Montana. The only RV campground located in the park that is open year-round is called Mammoth Campground, however be prepared for dry camping as it offers no hook-up options.

Okay skiers this one is for you! Enjoy the picturesque scenery of White Mountains, New Hampshire as a winter wonderland. Ski, sled, or cruise around on a snowmobile taking in the scenery and wildlife of the area! The campground comes fully equipped for winter with shower and restroom facilities, firewood, full hookups, and pull through trailer sites! If you need some human interaction then check out the nearby town for dining and shopping.

5. Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, Ohio

Enjoy exploring the outdoors this winter in Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, Ohio! Enjoy several different hiking trails that are upkept year-round such as Ash Cave and Whispering Cave Trail. See the park's numerous waterfalls frozen perfectly against the backdrop of a winter wonderland. The campground offers full hookup and electric camp sites. If the cold never bothered you anyway, this is the perfect opportunity to experience some beautiful hiking trails without the crowds!
