Happy Sunday! Looking forward to your first adventure in your RV? Check out these hiking tips below for your first adventure of the summer!

🌲 Stay on the marked trail: Other than avoiding getting lost, this tip can help you avoid getting into any poisonous plants. Park rangers will maintain the trails for any hazardous plants or animals, but off the trail there may be unknown dangers. If you do decide to make your own trail, make sure you know what vegetation grows in the local area and be on the lookout for any hazards.

🌲 Pack plenty of water and snacks: Even if you plan on making a short hike, injury or the weather can change your plans. Make sure you always have plenty of water or snacks in case you become delayed or stuck.

🌲 Be aware of your physical limitations: When attempting new or old hiking trails, be aware of your body. While you normally may be able to hike longer or on more challenging terrain, things like weather can impact you. If you need to take a break or turn around, do so.

🌲 Dress appropriately for the weather and conditions: check the weather forecast before you go hiking, and make sure you have the proper attire. Also, research any new trails to make sure you have the proper equipment and supplies.

🌲 Download or print a map ahead of time: In case you become lost, print or download a map to your phone before you leave. That way you still have access even if the service is poor.
